Had a little hubbly with my peppermint tea
Thinking of our past times how you called me wifey
Said I was the one me, loved me
like I was the one you always imagined being with
Built me up and broke me down
like you know that I expected it, I think I kinda did kid
Sich a damn shame, I knew the end game
like it was my first name, what was your aim?
I just need my yogi to help me find a new me
instead of doing silly things that only turn and spite me
and bring the worst out of me
I wish that you would call me, call me
change your mind again on me
but you won't and if you do
you'll hurt my heart like only you do
My nemesis my great antagonist
I’ll rid my mind of you
until I do peace
Please, could you just go away
please
I know you see my heart is hurting
Let me go far away from you please
‘Cause with you here I just can't be
Sitting here and I just don't know what I'm thinking
‘Cause I know what you've been doing but my fingers are still itching twitching
your phone might just start ringing
‘cause it's the thought of you I'm missing
I know a tiger can't change stripes but who says I can't stop wishing
I know this is a conversation that you are not ready for
‘Cause I gave a good sale on my heart but wait there is more
T & C's are piling up and we keep falling in and out of love
I can't describe how much I don't get it
I'm your fool for that I give you credit so
Please, can you go far away
please
I know you see my heart is hurting
Let me go far away from you please
‘Cause with you here I just can't be
Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
